Frog Camp is one of the most cherished TCU traditions. There is no cost to attend the Texas Camps listed below. It does not matter which camp you attend, you will be greeted with welcoming upper-division students, passionate faculty and staff, and lots of new Horned Frog friends. Please read below for details on each of our Texas Camps.
Descriptions of Texas Camps
Based in Fort Worth, this camp will enthrall any sports fan. At this three day camp, students will get to experience some of the professional sports offerings in the DFW area by touring AT&T stadium and attending a Rangers game. Campers will also get learn about and get ready to cheer for our TCU athletic teams.
Casa Nueva A, B & C
Casa Nueva introduces you to your new home away from home. You’ll learn how to line dance at Billy Bob’s honky-tonk and wander through the wilds of the Fort Worth Zoo.
Challenge A & B*
At this camp located at a campgrounds in Bruceville, Texas you will jump in to the challenge course, get head-to-toe dirty during Grimy Games and roast marshmallows at night.
*Transfer Students and International students are strongly encouraged to attend Challenge B!
Cultura A & B
Cultura shows the more modern side of Fort Worth. Students will visit the Fort Worth Cultural District where they get to tour the Kimbell and Modern Art Museums. Campers also get to enjoy some fun-in-the sun while hanging out at Burger’s Lake.
Schedule of Texas Camps
Texas camps are a 3 day experience. Check-in will be at 1:00pm on TCU’s campus the first day of camp. Students will be released from camp on the third day between 4-6pm. Confirm the exact time in your pre-camp email. Students are required to be at camp for its entirety (check-in to its conclusion on the 3rd day) so make travel plans accordingly. If someone cannot be at camp for the full experience, the student must register for a different camp.
Cost of Texas Camps
There is no cost to attend a Texas Frog Camp. However, if you cancel your registration after our cancellation deadline, or do not show to the camp you are registered for, then you will be charged a Cancellation/No Show Fee.
