Senior (Dis)Orientation

Seniors have the opportunity to participate in Senior (Dis)Orientation and Senior Re-Orientation. These programs are designed to help them get the most out of the last year as well as prepare for life after college. Each focuses on a different set of needs and addresses them in different ways, and the two programs are therefore complimentary to each other.
Senior (Dis)Orientation
In many ways the senior year is naturally disorienting! You’ve spent the last few years mastering the college environment, and now it’s time to start letting go. Furthermore, you are beginning a new journey, one that is even more challenging than the transition from high school to college. We think facing these facts and diving right into them can be exciting and adventuresome, and this program helps you do so. It is held on a Saturday in the fall semester, includes lunch, and is free to all TCU seniors. Attendees hear from guest speakers and participate in workshops on the skills and information required for success after graduation, such as:

  • Researching & Applying to Graduate/Professional Programs
  • Making the Most of Graduate/Professional School
  • Financial Management & Planning
  • Entering the Job Market
  • Relocation & Independent Living
  • Getting Along at Work: Ethics and Etiquette in the Workplace
  • Building a New Social Life
