Wassenich Award for Mentoring in the TCU Community
celebrates faculty and staff members who serve as role models, advisors, and guides to students.
The Wassenich Award for Mentoring in the TCU Community was first bestowed in 1999 and is now presented annually by the Chancellor at Fall Convocation. The nomination process is administered during the spring semester by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and a committee made up primarily of students, with faculty and staff representatives. The selection committee reviews all nominations and sends a recommendation of finalists to the Chancellor. Finalists are recognized at Convocation and receive a cash award.
All nominees receive copies of their nominations and are thus honored whether or not they receive the award.
Nominations for the 2023 award are now open.
